Official Docs - ENEMY ALIEN - We were at war
This
These are United States Department of Justice (Alien Registration) Cerificate Of Identification.
They were to be carried by the person to whom issued and must be produced if required by any police officer or other duly accredited official.
Where was the AFL-CIO back in 1942?
Anyway, the pink card on top of Grandpa's is there because his picture was missing in the booklet. The other side of the pink card indicates that it is a United States Coast Guard identification card and stamped in big black letter: ENEMY ALIEN - Temporary Exp. Date 11/27/1942
Orazio H Cardillo
According to the front of the booklet - his name was, Orazio Harry Cardillo.
Interesting.
Does anyone know what Grandpa's middle name really was?
